Beaches

On the Treasure Coast, the beaches are an integral part of our lifestyle. When it comes to beachfront, we have the rare blessing of both quality and quantity.

With over 40 public beach parks and many more private and public beach accesses. We also enjoy ocean-side experiences so spectacular that it is difficult to completely describe in words.

On one of our many sunny days, with clear blue skies above, gentle breezes blowing all around, and the gentile sounds of the surf in the background, it seems as if there is not a more glorious place in the world. You’ll see people enjoying long, leisurely walks along the beach, some in search of shells, and children having the time of their lives playing in the surf and sand. Fishermen cast their lines from the shore and you can occasionally share their exhilaration as they make their catch. There is always a quiet spot to read a good book or just relax in your favorite beach chair. Time stands still as you share the warmth of the sun and the refreshing splash of the Atlantic waters with the other beach lovers. Visitors often tell us that the beaches are more beautiful than they could have imagined.

Martin County, right in the heart of the Treasure Coast, has provided residents with a beach cam, so you can take a few minutes to view one of Florida’s most striking beaches, right from your home!

We think that you find the tour to be very enjoyable, so sit back, relax, and imagine that you are there!

St. Lucie County invites you to bask in the tropical sun where 21 miles of unspoiled beaches glisten and coax vacationers and residents alike to relax and enjoy. Located on the southern end of mainland St. Lucie County, Port St. Lucie is a recreation-rich paradise filled with pleasant pursuits. Home of the one-a-kind PGA Village, the PGA Learning Center, numerous other golf courses and Mets baseball at Tradition Field sports enthusiasts will find much to love. A wide range of affordable accomodations makes guests feel comfortable. Numerous parks and pristine rivers provide countless ways to explore and experience the best of natural Florida. And fantastic inland fishing will let you cast your cares away.

You’d think that a community as close to the ocean as St. Lucie County would serve outstanding seafood—and you’d be right. Every one of our many restaurants has access to fresh, locally caught fish and shellfish, and until you’ve eaten a fresh shrimp (not frozen) you don’t know what a shrimp tastes like. Our fruits and vegetables are similarly available from local farmers markets, and overall you’ll wish you could eat four or five meals a day.

We love our beautiful, uncrowded beaches as much as guests do. And that’s why St. Lucie County has worked to create countless public beach access points all along our scenic coastline. So when you’re here, you’ll never search long for a place to bask in the St. Lucie sun. Plus, dog lovers can enjoy Walton Rocks Dog Beach together with their four-legged friends.

Art also enlivens St. Lucie’s cultural scene. Visit our art galleries and see highly original artworks from the likes of famed Florida painter A.E. Backus and the renowned group of African-American sojourning artists collectively called the Florida Highwaymen. It’s a palette of respected talent found nowhere else.
